Funding
Almost all companies have external funding needs. Early stage companies are frequently forced to obtain equity capital. Small to medium sized companies that have achieved some momentum often resist tapping additional equity sources until it is absolutely necessary in order to avoid ownership dilution. Therefore, management may resort to other types of funding such as asset-backed facilities, "bridge" loans or SBA facilities. Howell International Inc. has worked to develop capital structures and financing strategies for all types of corporate needs. We have also assisted companies in preparing for, and in making, effective presentations to lenders and investors.
Mergers and Acquisitions
In addition to funding requirements, successful companies invariably attract suitors. Howell International Inc. has guided several management teams through the process of selling their company. Although our Firm has not had a focus on "buy-side" mandates, we have relationships with a number of entities interested in acquiring companies.

Business plans are important on many levels and at almost any stage of a company's life cycle. Howell International Inc. has helped companies develop professional and useful business plans. Our Firm has also provided objective critiques to plans that have already been developed. As part of this process we have frequently been requested to create detailed financial forecasts for our clients.

Our experience with joint ventures is primarily in the international arena. Howell International Inc. has worked with major international organizations to identify and develop joint venture opportunities in a number of overseas markets.

Howell International Inc. has particularly enjoyed its role as advisor to young companies. This role can either take shape as arms length advisory or as a more formal "virtual" CFO role. As a "virtual" CFO we assume a temporary but in-depth position on the managerial team.
